Q & A

Do I need additional computer software to make the 5Y series fully compliant with 21 CFR Part 11/ EU GMP Annex 11?
RADWAG advanced-class products, including 5Y series balances, do not require any PC software to meet the requirements of 21 CFR Part 11/ EU GMP Annex 11. The balances are equipped with a built-in 21 CFR module, which has been repeatedly validated in the pharmaceutical industry as fully compliant with the aforementioned regulations.

On the new ELLIPSIS 5Y series balances, can I create a text/printout with any content describing my weighing process?
Yes, this is very easy with the 5Y series. Simply create a non-standard printout and fill it with content that describes your weighing process. You can also use over 400 variables to expand your printout with information from the weighing process (for example, date, sample name, net weight, sd value from a series of measurements, etc.).

Will ELLIPSIS allow me to send the measurement directly to a spreadsheet, such as MS Excel, or other word processor?
Yes, every 5Y series balance gives you the option, when connected to your computer with a USB-C cable, to use the Free Link functionality. Free Link is responsible for sending properly formatted data from the balance directly to the currently open spreadsheet.
